*UPDATED: THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! THANKS FOR ENTERING*

 Leslie said...
I've been reading since shortly before the first Celebrate Boy month. I love LOVE your big butt baby pants pattern. I've made 5 pairs for my baby girl- and I haven't taken a picture of any of them (ack!). I've added ruffles to the butt, to the legs, I've add lace- you name it. Thank you for that pattern, sure took the guesswork out of figuring out the dimensions myself. And they look super cute underneath the "Raglan Shift Dress" if you cut it shorter like a tunic- another super easy pattern made by whole grain baby. In under two hours I can make my daughter a super cute outfit. Woohoo! And i think you are funny too! Congratulations Leslie, look for my email so we can get you your fabrics!

You're not even going to believe this. It's ANOTHER fantastic fabric giveaway, this time from Whipstitch Fabrics!

Today you are the Luckiest of Readers because Whipstitch Fabrics is giving away Far Far Away II! Woot!

Let me introduce you to Whipstitch owner Deborah Moebes. Deborah not only runs the Whipstitch online fabric shop, she is the author of the fabulous new book Stitch by Stitch (you can see my interview with Deborah for the book tour here), owner of Whipstitch Sewing Lounge in Atlanta (where she also teaches sewing classes), instructor of her online sewing eCourses, and blogger over at the ever entertaining and informative Whipstitch blog. She's also a wife and mother of four children. Deborah's one of those people who is just hands-down amazing; just looking at everything she has going on makes me want to lie down and take a nap, but she manages to do it all and still be energetic and hilarious.

I have to admit always get a little bit jealous when I read Deborah's blog. It makes me want to move to Atlanta so I can go to all the fun stuff she's got going on like the Whipstitch Retreat, the Sew-A-Thon or Fabric Design Weekend! It would be great just to shop for fabric or sew in this fantastic space:

Even if you can't move to Atlanta, there's always the online shop and Whipstitch eCourses. New classes for 2011 have yet to be announced, but I have it on good authority that Deborah will be offering a new "Intro to Sewing" class based on her book in late January, so if you've always wanted to learn to sew you have NO EXCUSE because you could be taught by one of the best sewing teachers in the country who is also one of the funniest nicest people ever.

GIVEAWAY DETAILS

Today Deborah is giving away 10 fat quarters of Far Far Away II + shipping! The winner may choose ten fabulous fat quarters from the Far Far Away II collection in the shop. This collection is designed by Heather Ross and is printed on a lightweight cotton-linen canvas (heavier than quilting cotton but turns amazingly soft when you wash it). With this stack of FQ's you could even make the Storytime Squares Quilt I posted last week with a couple to spare!

I don't have this one yet but I really really like it. Alot.

  13. Hm, I remember following the first Spring Top Week, so close to 2 years? I guess I shouldn't say that my favorite thing about this blog was winning this year (it was), so instead I'll say all the great patterns you produce for us, the photography, and C in her adorable outfits. Oh, and the wall hanging you made above her crib - still thinking about how cute that is.

Most importantly though, you're funny and reading your blog gives a sense of your personality and not just your crafting skills. And goodness I'd love to win. 32. I have really enjoyed your celebrate the boy month because I think you have to be far craftier to capture the essence of boys (any mom can slap a bow on their daughter and call it a day). I've only recently ventured into the world of sewing/mom blogs and it makes me feel good seeing a whole supportive community of people making things for themselves and their families and sharing with others, so thank you.

  33. I think I started reading your blog about two years ago. I got an iPod Touch for Christmas and was still getting up multiple times a night to nurse a baby, so that was the time that I found a bunch of craft blogs. I had bought a buttercup bag made by the mother of Jessica Jones (How About Orange) and loved it. 148. I have only been reading this blog for a couple of months, because I only started sewing this fall. I borrowed a machine from a friend, then when I had to give that back I borrowed by mother-in-laws machine, and have been sewing almost every day. What I mostly enjoy about your blog are the few free patterns/tutorials you offer, in particular the cheaters method of binding a quilt. I just did your method on the first quilt I made and it turned out awesome (even though my mother-in-laws machine decided it didn't want to sew the layers and I had to do the entire edging by hand), so thanks!!
